2017年12月3日，在第四屆世界互聯(lián)網(wǎng)大會上，中國、老撾、沙特、塞爾維亞、泰國、土耳其、阿聯(lián)酋等國家相關部門共同發(fā)起《“一帶一路”數(shù)字經(jīng)濟國際合作倡議》，標志著“一帶一路”數(shù)字經(jīng)濟合作開啟了新篇章。
　　為拓展數(shù)字經(jīng)濟領域的合作，作為支持“一帶一路”倡議的相關國家，提出將會本著互聯(lián)互通、創(chuàng)新發(fā)展、開放合作、和諧包容、互利共贏的原則，探討共同利用數(shù)字機遇、應對挑戰(zhàn)，通過加強政策溝通、設施聯(lián)通、貿易暢通、資金融通和民心相通，致力于實現(xiàn)互聯(lián)互通的“數(shù)字絲綢之路”，打造互利共贏的“利益共同體”和共同發(fā)展繁榮的“命運共同體”?！冻h》中提出，推進國際標準化合作；增強在線交易的可用性、完整性、保密性和可靠性；鼓勵沿線各國加強交流、增進相互了解，加強政策制定、監(jiān)管領域的合作，減少、消除或防止不必要的監(jiān)管要求的差異，以釋放數(shù)字經(jīng)濟的活力；支持維護互聯(lián)網(wǎng)全球屬性的信息通信技術政策，允許互聯(lián)網(wǎng)使用者依法自主選擇獲得在線信息、知識和服務；促進政府、企業(yè)、科研機構、行業(yè)組織等各方溝通交流、分享觀點，推動數(shù)字經(jīng)濟合作。
